We have been fantastically supported by colleagues in the CRNs and Cancer Alliances and are delighted at the level of interest we have received from practices across all of England. Recruitment has now closed and we have 477 practices signed up to the trial. Practices are now in the two-year data collection period and Intervention practices will be using the electronic Risk Assessment Tools (eRATs) for cancer software and Control practices will continue with their usual practice and refraining from using electronic decision support tools for cancer such as Qcancer. This is supported by the NHSE.
After this we will get data from the Cancer registry and will then be able to see if the eRATs are clinically effective.
