Adrian is the patient and public involvement (PPI) lead on the ERICA Trial Management Group.
Supported by Emma Cockcroft and Raff Calitri, and members of the public within the PPI group with direct experience of cancer services, his role is three-fold: to bring a patient perspective to the trial; to ensure that ERICA remains relevant to the needs of current and future patients; and to help design information about the trial and its results which is understandable to the general public.
As well as lived experience as a carer, during his career in the NHS Adrian has been a member of a Cancer Network Board, chaired a network of NHS organisations reorganising diagnostic services, and worked widely across primary care.
Adrian sums up his role “as ensuring that the trial delivers real benefits for patients across the NHS.”
